Supporting your healthy life in Japan

We are now working with English-speaking house call doctors who can come to your house for a primary care consultation and treatment between 20:00-24:00 Mon-Sun.
Medication will be prescribed on the spot. They see children over 3 months old and adult patients. The doctors are trained in emergency medicine.

They accept emergency and non-emergency cases. You can make a night appointment when your schedule doesn’t allow to visit a doctor’s office during daytime.

JHI will coordinate your visit. Please contact us at contact@japanhealthinfo.com before 19:00 Mon-Sun. Coordination and other assistance fees will be charged and payable by credit card.

Adults: Minato, Shibuya, Meguro, Setagaya, Shinagawa, Shinjuku, Chiyoda, Chuo, Koto, Sumida, Taito, Bunkyo, Toshima, Nakano, Suginami, Nerima, Itabashi, Kita wards

Japanese Health Insurance is accepted. Children up to 15 years old who have Japanese Health Insurance and subsidy card from the ward office are free of consultation and treatment charges. Adult patients are charged from 3,000 yen – the fee varies depending on the service requested. We can provide an estimation in advance. A set fee is charged to non-Japanese insurance holders.
A set fee of travel allowance is 1400 yen. Payment accepted by cash or credit card.

They have rich information of English friendly dentists and clinics. Information is simple and easy to navigate.
We can help with inquiry and appointments as many clinics have Japanese only reception staff. Contact us and we will coordinate your visit.


New Year Holidays

New Year Holidays are coming up. Be noted that many of Japanese hospitals and clinics are closed typically from December 29th to January 4th (could be up to the 6th).

It will be very difficult to find a hospital during this time. Our general operation is closed from December 29th to January 4th but emails are checked every day. If you have questions or need help you can contact us at contact@japanhealthinfo.com

We are now working with an obgyn clinic that provides an online consultation in English and prescribes oral contraceptive pills. You do not have to travel to the clinic in person, simply have a consultation online and they will post-mail the pills anywhere in Japan. This will be a very convenient option for people living outside big cities.

Japan Healthcare Info (JHI) is a non-profit, social entrepreneur corporation. Our healthcare professional staff are dedicated to providing service in order to enhance well-being of international community in Japan.

Our staff are working voluntarily without salary however there are expenses to run services. We welcome new members to support our activities.

General Membership: Activity and financial assistance in general. General members priority consulting and other JHI services. (13,000 yen/year as individual member, 50,000 yen/year as corporate member)

Patronage Membership:Financial assistance to JHI (6,000 yen/year as individual member, 10,000 yen/year as corporate member)

The following terms and conditions apply to Japan Healthcare Info membership services provided by General Incorporate Association Japan Healthcare Info (“JHI”) Shibuya-Ku, Tokyo, Japan.
・“Member” means the person or persons (spouse, dependent children, or life partner) who are designated as the Members on the registration and completed the membership fee payment .Privacy Policy・We collect personally identifiable information and information regarding personal health conditions and problems when you register as a Member of JHI and/or when Users make enquiries to us and seek medical coordination and/or assistance.・From time to time we may send a questionnaire to the email addresses of the Members and/or Users provided with the User/Member’s permission to investigate the quality of our service and/or ask the Users’ permission for uploading their feedback to JHI web site or JHI Facebook Page.・The personally identifiable information and information regarding personal health conditions and problems are only used to respond to your questions and/or the specific services you select.・The personally identifiable information and information regarding personal health conditions that JHI Members/Users provided are stored in a secure place offline and will not be disclosed to the third party.・The personally identifiable information and information regarding personal health conditions that the Members/Users provided can be discarded immediately after the intended use upon the Users’ and/or Members’ request.
Disclosure of your information
・JHI does not disclose any personally identifiable or personal health information we gather from our Members/Users.・We may only release any personally identifiable or personal health information to relevant medical and/or healthcare service providers/healthcare professionals so that they can make appropriate preparations for care and treatment. We only release any personally identifiable or personal health information with the Members/Users permission, or to comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, or court order. If the physical condition of the Members/User doesn’t allow the Members/User to permit JHI to disclose their personally identifiable or personal health information, JHI discloses personally identifiable or personal health information such as name, age, address, telephone number, nationality, health insurance details, personal health condition, treatment and medication history to the relevant third parties via telephone, email or on-site for the purpose of medical assistance.
Service Description
・The Members can reach JHI via email to seek advice.・JHI does not provide emergency assistance.・JHI does not provide professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your doctor with any questions regarding a medical condition.・JHI is not liable for any damages or consequences arising out of the conditions above and other unexpected conditions.・Fees for coordination, translation or other services charged separatly to the Membership fee.Membership Eligibility・Membership commences only after JHI receives JHI Registration Form and the completed membership fee transaction.・Membership continues only for the period of a year for which the Membership Fee has been paid.・Membership can be terminated at any time if  the Member either (1) Becomes deceased or (2)  takes any action that may be  regarded as harmful to JHI or its reputation.Membership Fee・Membership fee is paid fully in advance for 12 months. Home test kit

We have a contract with a lab and various home testing kits are available to ship. Please see the link below for details.

Home Test 

Some areas in Japan do not have English-friendly clinics for testing purposes so it has been really difficult to provide information where to get tested. We hope providing home testing kits can help.


We have been receiving messages from clients saying that responses from JHI are automatically sorted to Spam/Draft Folders recently.
Please check your Spam/Draft Folder if you have not received a response for a while.
