We are now working with a US licensed English-speaking doctor in Tokyo that provides online consultation and prescribe Morning After Pills/Emergency contraception. You do not have to travel to the clinic in person, simply have a consultation online and they will post-mail the pills anywhere in Japan except US bases.

What is the medicine they prescribe?
-Planovar (combined oral contraceptives (COCs) consisting of ethinyl estradiol plus levonorgestrel)
How effective is it?
-Planovor reduces the risk of pregnancy by 97% if taken within 72 hours of intercourse and followed with a second dose in 12 hours.
When do I have to take it?
-Within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse is recommended. Take 2 tablets at one time and take 2 more tablets 12 hours after the 1st course.
How does it work?
-The pills prevent pregnancy by preventing or delaying ovulation.
What are the possible side effects?
-Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, headache, breast pain, edema
50% of people who take Planovor experience vomiting and dizziness within 24 hours.
-You are prone to develop side effects due to smoking. Refrain from smoking.
How will I know if I didn’t get pregnant?
-Most people will have a menstrual period within 3 weeks of taking the pills. If you do not get a period in 3 weeks, please consult your doctor.
How much is it?
-10000 yen plus tax and coordination fee.

Where can I get an Emergency Contraception a Morning After Pill?
Emergency contraception, also known as the Morning After Pill, can prevent pregnancy after unprotected intercourse. This medication is prescription only, and the person who takes the pill must visit an OB/GYN clinic in order to get it. She has to take the pill within 72 hours of intercourse, and the earlier the better.
The average cost of the pill range from about 10,000 to 20,000 yen including the doctor’s consultation. The fee varies because there are different types of medication available. Consult with your doctor to learn how they are different and which type would be better suited for you.

From July 2015, we charge some fees for any information or advice related to this pill because in many cases clients request urgent delivery of this service. The fee is payable by Paypal, we will email you an electric invoice. Bank transfer is accepted but not for not an urgent delivery of information.
