I am travelling overseas and need vaccinations
Travel immunizations and vaccinations are widely available at specialized
clinics and health centers. Commonly available vaccinations include:
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Rabies
Tetanus
Japanese Encephalitis
Cholera
Tick-borne encephalitis
Typhoid
Meningococcal vaccine
Malaria Pill
Yellow Fever is a controlled vaccine and only available at limited centers.
Travel vaccinations are available at private clinics, some of which offer specific travel clinics. The price of vaccinations varies depending on the clinic you visit.
Japanese Health Insurance schemes do not cover travel vaccinations. You should expect each vaccination to costs over 5000 yenper dose as to have to pay an additional doctor’s fee.
In Japan, patients do not need to purchase vaccines in advance and bring them to the clinic for administration; clinics and health centers will have them in stock. However, patients are often required to make an appointment in advance.
We can assist you in locating the nearest travel clinic, the costs involved and check they have the vaccines you need. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Please remember it is best to plan for vaccinations well in advance of your planned travel dates.
