I am travelling overseas and need vaccinations
Travel immunizations and vaccinations are widely available at specialized clinics and health centers. The commonly available vaccinations are as follows:
Yellow Fever is a controlled vaccine and only available at limited centers like quarantine.
Travel vaccinations are available at private clinics, especially at “travel clinics.” The price of vaccinations differs depending on the clinic you visit. Japanese Health Insurance does not cover travel vaccinations, each shot costs over 5000 yen per shot plus the doctor’s fee.
In Japan, patients do not need to purchase vaccines and bring them to the clinic for administration; clinics and health centers will have them in stock. However, patients are often required to make an appointment in advance.
JHI can assist you in locating the nearest travel clinic and enquire if they have the necessary vaccine. It is best to plan for vaccinations well in advance of your travels. Contact us.
