Japan Healthcare Info. (JHI) is a social entrepreneur organization founded in 2010. Our healthcare professional staff are dedicated to providing service in order to enhance well-being of international community in Japan.
JHI is a selected member of the most renowned non-profit Japanese social entrepreneur training organization and awarded Japanese government grant in 2010.
Purchasing medication / supplements from overseas
You can purchase medication and health supplements online from overseas and have them imported to Japan. As long as your purchase is within a one month supply or within 24 bottles or tubes per brand, no letter or certificate is necessary.
However, customs duties may be charged on your package. For example, if 60% of the total amount is over 10,000 yen, expect a tax to be charged. If it is under this amount then it will generally be tax-free
Please note that substances that are illegal in Japan, as well as medical narcotics, may not be shipped to Japan through mail. If you are unsure if your medication can be legally imported, please contact us.
